Bottom line, if he or she is not motivated then you won't be motivated by dating them. (Drop an unmotivated person) I know many of us think we can " change them " but when trying to change him begins to change you, drop him and tell him why.
If he is making excuses now, he'll always make excuses.Okay I understand we all have reasons that we can't do something or can't make something happen., but if every time you speak to this person they still haven't done it, let it be known that you don't care for procrastinators. Give them a little time, and if you see no change.( Tell him, Excuse me while I leave )
Too much too late too bad... If you have been giving hints and constantly reminding or telling him or her, what you need and want to make you happy, and you don't see anything happening or changing until you're about to leave; end it. It shouldn't take threats to compromise. That person couldn't care. ( Depending on what it is )
If they are always whining bout everything under the sun, tell em " look I don't want to hear it, either grow up and handle it, or whine alone."
Don't tolerate nothing at all that makes you miserable, if you start allowing small things, they will often evolve into bigger things and the rest is history. If you create a monster, better put on your armor and start battling. You can't get mad at what YOU allowed to happen.
If he's using you as a crutch now, he'll be using you as a wheelchair later. End it early, before the casts, neck brace, and band aids began to surface.
If he's that horny, tell him to go find a hole in the wall. It's not your job to please him 24 hours a day, when you're not even in a relationship. This is so serious. People always play the sex mind games, don't be a component. The only middle you need to give him is the finger.
